The day came. The one I've been longing to see. And it turned out more spectacular than I have ever dreamed. Because last year's plane ride was rough, freezing, and squished, I decided I would be so prepared this time. Go big or go home. You there, blanket? You are coming with me. Yeah I know you don't fit in my suitcase! I'll wear you. That goes for you too, neck pillow. I woke this morning sweaty and nervous, as I thought about embarking on a trip without my family. For some reason I was scared to death. I busied myself with packing but seriously couldn't stop shaking to calm down. But that all changed after we got to the airport, and the TSA people were so nice my fears were gently smoothed away. Saying goodbye.... I discovered that security isn't as scary as they thought! The TSA people were so nice even though the one guy opened my suitcase and poked around in it. We survived! Then went to go find our gate. The train was awesome! A great invention. After security we were SO happy we made it- that we happily vlogged our way to Starbucks. Vanilla sweet cream cold brew and a Christmas tree hat in the summertime. What could be better? My suitcase decided it wanted to wear my blanket then. A perfect turban. We got to the gate in plenty of time, where I loved to sit and dream out the window. Soon I would be soaring above those very clouds I saw above. The first flight was awesome. I had the middle seat, in between a nice guy and a nice lady. I gave her a million dollar bill tract and we had a nice conversation about traveling and mission trips. I think I was too excited and talked so fast though... but I don't think she minded. Hopefully. ;) The takeoff was a blast because of how small the plane was, and it felt like we were on a tiny jostling rollercoaster vaulting and twisting in the air. So cool! The Atlanta airport was huge! When we got off the first plane for our layover, we could not find the huge sign that was supposed to have our gate number on it. So that led to a lot of walking. We found it which led to a LOT more walking. It took forever to get there and they were already boarding.... We made it though. And on the way there they had this long dark hallway with a super glowy ceiling! The second flight was SO glamorous, a big difference from the plane before! It was HUGE and had screens, more leg room, and I even got a window seat. First selfie: on purpose. Second selfie: totally accidental....
Instagram vs. real life. 😂👌
