It's Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to the one I inherited my love for coffee and chocolate from. The one who always keeps everything clean, mashed potatoes on the table, us kids alive and well... all while completing her many accomplishments including a Ph.D!
And somehow when I put laundry in the washer sometimes, and don't get it out, it magically appears on my bed dried and folded! Now how does that happen?! The conclusion is that I have a wonderful mom who cares about sorrows yet doesn't let me complain (which is good), who sacrifices her money and food, and who wipes my fevered brow when I am sickly and weak, and who actually knows the quotes my sister and I talk about. And when my mom is away, well we get a tragic glimpse of what it is like to do what she does. Thank you so much for everything, Dr. Mom! I can't thank you enough.
