This has been quite an amazing week. Monday - Wednesday: Snow Days Thursday - stayed home from school Friday- weekend!! At this very moment that I am typing this, we are watching "The Lost Medallion". Also, we played Mafia in school today, and barely anyone was there. We also had a jean day today. To top it all off, we got so many awesome groceries that I just can't take the yumminess! :) This was a good day today. PS: I am only writing this because Weebly thinks I don't log on to my website enough..... Just a quick update on the TACS competition testing last month. ( Warning! Depressing news ahead!)..... ...So I took four tests: English, Algebra 1, Poetry, and World History & Geography. The English test wasn't that bad, except that I forgot everything from last year. Yep, you read that right, everything on the test was from 8th grade. Last year. It was all about gerunds and infinitives and participles, proper uses of grammar, and clauses and phrases. Let's just say it didn't go well. The second test I took was Algebra 1. Most of the stuff I had actually not learned yet, but a lot of stuff I had learned already but actually forgot to do it. Maybe I'm not smart anymore.. I don't know;). That test took me through lunch time and I was so tired and shaky when I finally finished. Another test I took was World History&Geography. This test I actually did for someone else who did not show up. I really thought I would do good on it, since I'm a beast at geography. But guess what! There were only one or two geography questions on the test... Of course. The world history questions I just guessed on. When the test was done I looked up all the questions I could remember to see if I got them right, but that did not make me very optimistic about that test. Apparently Carter did not stand at the Berlin Wall! It was Ronald Reagan.. Ok, I've saved the worst for last. You're welcome ;). Poetry. I wrote about icicles, and it was the worst poem ever. The icicles were a symbol of the little girls death, and I'm pretty sure I stole that from O'Henry's "The Last Leaf". Now that the poetry test is over, I have suddenly realized that I should have done the other topic choice-"Moving". Since I'm moving soon, I could totally identify with that topic. I would have made it so dramatic and beautiful. But that's okay.. I have explained what happened during the tests, but I have not told you what happened when I got home. I was very sad about my failure at these tests, especially the poetry one. I sang a long, mournful song about it that I made up on the spot, which was pretty good if you ask me. Then I was late for my piano lesson. (If you actually wanted to know that). Anyway, I won't keep you much longer. Just wanted to let my website know about this. And I am truly sorry about saying that this was a quick update, because it was not. It was a long, slow update with many details. Over and out. - Karissa Bird |
